15 international artists, 1900sqm of walls, one week of creativity at the highest level. These are the facts for PAT Art Lab's first big-size urban art festival entitled SCALE. As part of SCALE Munich, these artists painted five directly adjacent office buildings on the former Siemens Campus within one week. The concentration of creativity and oversized works at a single location sets standards and is so far unique in the Munich region or in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The title \u201eSCALE\u201c refers to dimensions. In the first line it leads to the dimension of huge outdoor \u201ccanvases\u201d (meaning walls) to be painted in Munich from June 26. till July 1st. 15 street artists or artist-groups from around the world have affirmed their commitment for PAT Art Lab's first SCALE project, all of them highly sought after for their awe-inspiring works on walls across the globe: OsGemeos from, Sao Paulo, Axel Void from Miami, ARYZ und Okuda San Miguel from Spain, Sainer (ETAM) from Poland, jana&js from France und Austria and from Germany Loomit, DAIM, SatOne, Daniel Man, und die Stone Age Kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important partner of the artistic intervention \u2018SCALE\u2019 is the PATRIZIA Foundation<\/a>, the charitable foundation of the presenter (PATRIZIA Real Estate). Since 1999, the PATRIZIA Foundation<\/a> has built hospitals, orphanages and schools all over the world. High Quality prints (on Aluminium dibond) of the murals are going to be produced after the festival and sold for the purpose of raising money for the PATRIZIA Foundation<\/a>. All proceeds were allocated 100% to the construction of the respective actual project (2017: a school for 1.000 pupils in Zimbabwe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Urban Art ist die aktuellste und demokratischste Kunstform, die man sich denken kann: sie erobert den \u00f6ffentlichen Raum zur\u00fcck, arbeitet mit und in den visuellen Au\u00dfenschichten der Stadt, greift in das urbane Erscheinungsbild voll impulsiver Lebendigkeit ein. Sie dokumentiert Lebens- und Phantasiewelten ohne akademische Verklausulierungen, tritt in unwillk\u00fcrlichen Austausch mit jedem Teilnehmer der Lebenswelt \u201eStadt\u201c und ist zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit bei freiem Eintritt erlebbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Das gew\u00e4hlte Gel\u00e4nde auf dem ehemaligen Siemens-Areal bietet ideale Voraussetzungen daf\u00fcr: es sind gro\u00dffl\u00e4chige und exponierte W\u00e4nde vorhanden, das Gel\u00e4nde ist weitl\u00e4ufig: der Raum zwischen den Geb\u00e4uden ist nicht durch innerst\u00e4dtische, enge Stra\u00dfenschluchten begrenzt, sondern es gibt viel Platz, meist gr\u00fcn bewachsene Fl\u00e4che, um zur\u00fcckzutreten und die Bilder wirken zu lassen.
